Cummins Rocky Mountain Truck Fest – Open house at ATS Diesel Performance

Hey is there anyone around the DFW area that is going to be setting up a Dyno day anytime soon? I would like to find out my HP and Torque ratings on my truck to get a baseline. It would also be nice to know some fellow TDR members around this part of the country just in case I needed some guidance if things go bad on my truck.

Beleve it or not, Don_M~ is the guy who sets up most DFW dyno days. The shop is in Louisville at a place called Speed Works. Great folks, who really like playing with our diesels, and know how to also, unlike some shops down here in Houston. A truck that dynoed there was at 480hp, and when it came to the dyno show here in Houston last week, he only made 425. A truck that dynoed on DD's dyno at 468 only made 427, so I really think they have a good dyno up in Louisville.

If you guys do it again I'll come down and visit but it will have to be after the 15th of July (vacation) I'll come down and visit but no pulling, doubt anything more will be done.

Its beginning to be about time to get another dyno day for Dallas again. The Ford guys have been rumbling about having another one here real soon. Houston had one last weekend and the guys up here were talking about having one for us too.

Im ready whenever you guys have some time off on Saturday.

Throw out a few dates and I will speak with Speedworks to see what they have going. Its about 40 bucks a truck for 3 to 4 pulls.

Good price and you dont have to worry about removing the rear outer wheels on duallies. I was just there last week dynoing some changes on my truck and the guys are ready for another event too.

August 17 works for me too. I have too many things I need to get done before I can dyno my truck. July 27 and August 3rd is out since I have to attend a wedding (7/27) and get married on 8/3/2002.

Weak showing of self-control. :p ;) :D Where have you been bud? Trying to figure more ways to copy I'm sure. ;) :p

Ok gang, I posted the date on the Ford-Diesel.com site LATE last night, and here is what I got so far. THEY (the Ford guys) just set up a date of September 21st. How does this sound? I think it would be better to do it with them since they already have the date, and they are a great bunch of guys.

Also, some of you might have missed it, but Don_M~ can not post anymore because of some B. S. , so I will now be taking over most communications between the Ferd dudes, Don, and us over on the TDR. ;)

September 21st anyone? The date is set in stone for the Ford guys, I really don't see the point in doing it twice, that close to each other.

See ya on the 21st,

Andrew

I'd prefer the earlier August 17th date. Either way I just want to get out there and learn more about my truck plus never dynoed a truck in my life and would like to learn how.

Sept 21 date works for me... .

CM, don't worry about how to dyno the truck. The guys at Speedworks will be the one "driving" the dyno. Just show up and have a great time.....

I'll be there

And I promise to have all my tires aired up this time!:D

I want to see what my increase is with the EZ on #3.

Not only will we NOT have to remove our training wheels, but these guys actually invested in an optical speed pick-up. That enables them to give you a torque number. torque = (hp*5252)/speed :D

DonM

Even though youre "persona non TDR" we'll see you there. TDK is a good choice as your representative. Hopefully, he has a fresh count (no strikes). ;)

OUCH!!!;) After last night, i was worried that my computer would be able to log on, but i think most of you missed it. :p ;) :D

Andrew

THANK YOU POWER WAGON!!!

Im planning on Dynoing well before Sept 21. March was the last time we all got together at Speedworks. 6 months is way to long between meets.

777,

It's called progression of BOMBing. You have a faster pace then some of us others do. :D I think i am on the worlds slowest pace, but that is another story.

Andrew

The last time we all got together was in March. I didnt dyno then since I hadnt done any mods since we met in Jan.

Just anxious to see what the B-1 and the DD3's added.

Andrew, not a whole lot of time to play on the computer lately. So I don't waste money dynoing the same, I'll get that wire hooked up by then. :D Let's see..... Sept. 21 + Sat. + Texas = dove season. Oh well, I can miss one weekend I guess.
