Competition DHRA Div. 2 Season Opening Race, Bradenton FL

This is it guys/gals, the 1st DHRA Division 2 race. You do not want to miss this race.



Here is what we know.



Saturday April 5th here www.bradentonmotorsports.com/



Test and Tune starting around 10:00 AM. Eliminations in the evening. Friday night is the 1320 club night. Look at the tree for this event. A STOP LIGHT!!!



I plan to race Friday and Saturday but Saturday is the DHRA event day. If you have not joined DHRA, what are you waiting for. Log onto www.DHRAonline.com, download the application and get it done man!!



As a final note... Jeff Garmon will unveil the new GDP drag truck at this event. This alone will be worth the price of admission. Total rebuild is all I'm going to say.

Hey Wayne,



It's on for sure.



As a matter of fact, I was talking to the track yesterday going through some advertising items. Alan seems real excited to have us down and asked to permission to advertise locally.



The only concerns mentioned where that the track is kept at high standards and he wanted to make sure we weren't going to trash it. I assured him our DHRA tech would assure proper catch bottles and loops were in place.



We were also invited formally to take place in the 1320 Club night on Friday. That is currenty my plan, to be there for Friday night. Good chance you can whip up on some unsuspecting ricer.

We are moving along. I spoke to Alan at the track this week and he is getting excited too. I am finishing up a flyer/web page that will be on my DPM site as well as DHRAonline.com

Well I just joined. Hope they got tee shirt big enough . I will be at Bradenton. Where is the 1320 club? Either I'll bring RDrose with me or I'll make him follow me-I certainly don't want to follow him-no mufffler. Okay what do I do to register to race. Also my 99 doesn't have a droll bottle. I take it I need one to run on the track. Okay and let me get this straight when the yellow light turns green I go right. Oo. I crack myself up.

We are getting excited. Jeff will debut the new 10 sec drag truck, the Dakota will be there in 12 sec fashion.



The 1320 club is at the track Friday night. This is street legal racing on the track.



As it stands now, we plan to leave Garmon's Diesel Performance Friday morning.



So far we will have Jeff, Randy, Mike and myself leaving the shop together and anyone wanting to tag along, send me an e-mail. We'll have an impressive convoy down to sunny Florida.

I am hoping to race the Dakota or my 2500 for Friday night in the 1320 race.

The first three hotels are about 8 - 10 miles from the track on the same highway 64. The rest might be more scenic but not as close . I stayed at the motel 6 it was ok, hope this helps.

Dave-took Wayne's advice-made reservations at motel 6. $62 for a room with 2 beds. I will not sleep in the same bed as Rdrose.

Dave-I think I'm paying for the light they leave on. Rdrose we ain't sleepin in the same bed:--) Thats why there are two beds-you don't have to sleep in the tub.

tubs aren't too bad, it's just in the middle of the night when someone goes to the bathroom it can get rough. :{ :--) . i so have one good question is there going to be a jig at the races. sure would be a great place to have one with all those trucks that will be there. just an idea.
