Di Pricol gauges

I just received my Di Pricol gauges and see that the EGT guage reads about 60* out of the box. Is this normal? Can it read an ambient temp without being hooked up?

Mine read the same prior to install but works great. I am very pleased with my gauges.

They are not very accurate at low temperatures. Mine always read 0° wihtthe truck turned off but functioned great as the temps went up.

Mine will read aproximate ambient air temp when I first got them and after my truck has been sitting and has cooled.

Mine never sits at zero. Any readings w/o the thermocouple hooked up don't mean a thing.

Great thanks for the replys. I have them mounted but not hooked up yet, this has been a busy summer.
