Genos hands down. They're EGT gauge is almost 30 bucks cheaper than the closest competitor, and up to 60 bucks cheaper than many.

Mark,

What are your sources? I find it a little hard to believe that hacking off a plastic grab handle would have any significant effect on the "crash worthyness" of the truck.

On the lighter side of the issue, I am the only driver of the truck, so if I wreck and injure myself are they going to arrest me for it. Doing stupid things and hurting or killing oneself is a southern tradition.

My understanding is that you cannot put anything on the A-pillars if you have the side air bags. So it will be the dual column mount for me unless something better turns up.

I want to go with the Di-pricol gauges also, but would like to have boost, pyro and transmission temp. and would obviously have only 2 spots with the dual column mount. Westach dual gauges would solve that problem, but are a little busy for me, and the dash match isn't nearly as good.

Anyone know if there is room between/behind the heated seat switchs where the 2 blanks are on the Laramie for a gauge?

I think I'm good-to-go with the wife on getting gauges. I told her when she first started driving my truck that she needed to let it idle down to cool off the turbo. Her response was "Why didn't they put a light or gauge on the truck so you knew when it was cool". Gotta love the way she thinks. ;)

I have side air bags, I decided to go with the X-Monitor: Trans temp, Pyro and Boost.

They are more expensive but hopefully worth it.

We have single, dual and triple Di-Pricol gauge sets complete with all the items needed for installation including colored pillar mounts, wiring etc. We also have the Di-Pricol gauges for the new Dodge with black or chrome bezels.

I checked out the A-pillar/Side airbag controversy before I installed mine and was told by Geno's that the problem was with GM's setup, and that ours was okay. Call Andy at Geno's.

pod/airbag issue

I just got a pod from Geno's and in the instructions, it said not to use it with the A pillar airbags. Are they meaning the side curtain ones? how far forward do the airbags deploy? I really want the A pillar pod but not if it could kill me.

I had the same concerns when I read that and I called Andy at Geno's as I stated in the previous post. Some of the side airbag installations use the A-pillar, Dodge doesn't and it is not a concern. Call Andy at Geno's.
