Di-Procol EGT & SRT-10 Problems

I'm getting ready to install my Di-Procol EGT in my SRT-10 pillar but I can't get the plastic "clamp" to go on correctly. It looks like it's hitting at the bottom of the gauge hole and I can't get it to tighten correctly. Anyone care to explain what I'm doing wrong?

When I installed my dipricols, I didnt use any clamps. The fit was tight enough that I was able to just slide it in, and it hasent moved in about 4 months. I figured that it will be easier to change a bulb if I have to. Of course this was on a 2 pod pillar. Not sure if the fit will be tight enough on the SRT pillar.

I had to file away part of the clamp to get it to clear the inside of the pillar. I removed the flare at the end of the clamp where it interferes. Still a bit of a tight fit, but it worked for me.

I did the same thing, ended up with a real tight fit. I used some emery cloth, it removed the material pretty easy.

I too installed without the clamps. Nice press fit in my column pod.

You can wrap some electrical tape around the guage as well. It will fit snugly and will not move.
