Diagnosis for Front End of 2005 Ram - Ball Joints, Hubs, Etc...?

I am looking for assistance in diagnosing a movement in my two front tires. When the front end is off the ground, I can detect a movement in both front tires when positioning my hands at 12 and 6 or 3 and 9 and pulling with one hand while pushing with thte other hand. It feels something like a mechanical notching. Any ideas?

Sounds like ball joints to me. Had mine changed twice so far. Next ones will probably be Federal Mogul, not DCX. Summit racing have them.
