Did first fuel filter change
After reading the posts on how much crud was coating/clogging the fuel filters I decided to change mine at 7500 miles. Believe it or not the fuel filter looked like new except for some slight discoloration due to some junk being filtered out. I was surprised because since I bought it in July of 05 I got fuel in AZ, UT, CO, KS, MO, KY & GA and expected to find the filter covered with and/or clogged with black slime & crud that others were talking about. I did not observe and water when I drained the cannister. In addition, the inside of the canister was clean. I always use PS additive. I decided to fill the canister with SeaFoam when I put the new filter in. After turning On the key for approx. 5 seconds and then to Start, the engine fired up immediately and was purring like a kitten.
