got a grease gun hose and a good mechanical gauge and checked my fuel pressure under the hood, I first put it in at the plug away from the motor (pre-filter I think) and got 16psi, then put it in the hole closest to the motor (post-filter I think) and had the same readings, both only dropped a few psi at WOT. I know this is not under a load but it seems the lift pump is working now. I left the guage attached under the hood where I can at least pop the hood and have some idea if there is pressure there or not. Does this sound OK?

It sounds like you are on the ....

... right track. I went ahead and installed mine in the cab for constant monitoring. Putting a load on does make a difference. It sounds like yours is functioning properly. What you have now is way better than being totally without.

I'm not too happy...

Started getting a nasty stumble @ WOT latelty so I hooked up an old AC gauge to the shraeder port on the pump tonight. Heard it spit a little when I screwed it on and fuel dribbled out, so I know the pin in the valve was depressed. But when I started it up... ... . zippo, zero, zilch, nada!!!

:{ 95K and O psi. :{

Kinda hope the pump is trashed too, so I can begin bombing with a new one. ;)

We'll see what the DC warranty gods have in the wind for us tomorrow. :-{}

On the road again...

Took my baby to the dealer yesterday. Left it overnight while they next-dayed the lift pump (They were out of stock). New lift pump installed today @ no $$$. Checked it when I got home and my gauge matched their reading.

14psi @ idle!!!

Oo. Oo. Oo.
