Hi everyone, I am new to TDR and just bought an 06 3500 SRW Mega 2BH, G56 6 Speed, Protection Group, Anti-Spin Differential, Fold-Away Power Trailer Tow Mirrors, Sunroof, Block Heater, GPS Navigation, Clearance Lamps, Hood Protection, Rear Seat Entertainment Video System, U-Connect Hands-Free Communication and Line-X Liner. I paid $43K before taxes. I hope I was not taken to the bank. Di I pay too much? Any comment is appreciated. Thank you!

That sounds about right for the employee pricing. I had most of the same options you got on a 2500 Mega, and paid a couple grand less.

My Quad Cab 2500 w/o the GPS Navigation, Sunroof, Rear Seat Entertainment Video System, U-Connect Hands-Free Communication, or Line-X Liner was $33K. I think you did okay.

I paid 38K for my truck, I do not have the rear seat DVD, Nav or the sun roof, so with those options we are in the same ballpark. Those are expensive items. Nice truck. Scotty

Lot of good deals to be had. Truck below with a hole in the roof had a window of 48,621. I paid 36,750 before taxes at Randall Noe just East of Dallas about three months ago.

You had a good deal. Got mine out the door $43,300. MSRP $50,615. 00. I have the 06 3500 Ram Laramie Mega 4x4 (laramie package 2UH), SRW, Automatic, block heater, under the rail box bedliner, clearance lamp, leather, and hood protection. I would have pay what you paid with all the additional option you got... . Where did you buy your truck?

PSERVANO, Bought mine form Town & Country Dodge in OR. I forgot to mention it is a 4WD. I tried Dave Smith in ID but they are about $1K more for the same thing. I shop around but could not find anything cheaper with the options I wanted. I figured after serving in the US Military for the past 20 years and getting ready to retire, I figured I'll buy a truck with all the bells and whistles as a retirement present for myself. I wanted a side air bags as well but could not find one with the other options I wanted and a G56. Thanks everyone for your input.

I think you did ok. You sure sounded like you did your homework and didnt walk in like a sucker. Just as long as you put up a fight and got atleast $5K off sticker you did ok.



How much did your sticker for??



Another think to watch out for is once you have decided on a price you go back to financing and they try to rip you off BIG TIME. The dealers make more back there from selling detail dervice and back rubs then on the salesfloor.



Ive heard of people getting a well equept 2500 4x4 quad cabs for $33K out the door all day here in nor cal. But again your is a totally different anamial.



Look at it this way. It sounds like you got your dream car and you have worked hard for it and is a nice retirement gift.



Another way to look at it is you got a very sought after truck. In a few years when everyone is complaining about emmisions you will have the best of the best, The last year they made the 5. 9L Mega cab.

BigDan, it took me almost a month and I did shop around from AZ all the way up to WA. I am still overseas so all this was done through the internet. It stickered for $53,525 so I got $10,525 off sticker plus the Line-X. I financed it for 3. 99% through my credit union. The only thing missing on this rig is the side airbags. It has everything imaginable the factory offered. I could not find one with the side airbags with all the other options and a G56. There were tons of automatics though but did not care for them. I know $43K is a lot of money considering uncle Sam don't pay us that much but I worked hard for over 20 years serving our great nation and this truck is indeed a nice retirement gift to myself. The wife also said I can get whatever I want so I went all out. I thought I got a good deal. Thanks everyone for your comments. Does anyone have a job for a retired GI in the supply/logistics field so I can pay for my new rig? Thanks again.

Mine was $48,000 window... payed $39,500 (with 285s,Power Wagon flares, window tint, chrome grill, chrome molding, bed liner)... . anything around 10K LESS than window is a GOOD deal... IMHO-BJ
