I bought my 97 (See Sig) in Feb of 2000 with 84,000 miles on it for $16K . yours is only 1 year older than mine but has a lot less miles, which makes a big difference. enjoy it
i feel ok except i am taking it back to the dealer tomorrow so they can fix the tps. (rpm surging by 200 at 50mph and above with or without the od off) they did the recall #970 last friday but did not adjust the tps. the mechanic told me that there was no adjustment necessary. well, in the morning i will show him the service procedure.
i don't know what kind of trans. i'm new to all of this. it's the dodge part that scares me. thanks. scott.
I looked at a 96 4X4 the other day. They wanted 17,998. It only had about 49,000 miles on it. Nice truck, I just thought it was a little overpriced. $16,000 seems like a pretty good price to me.
Sold our 1996 3500 SLT extended cab 6x4 V-10 automatic with all factory options, factory CD changer and 45,000 miles for $15,000 on September 15th. It was a super-clean truck with fresh tires, full maintenance records, run on synthetics since new, etc.
That sounds like a good price compared to Denver prices! You're OK as long as your problems are covered by recalls. Even if it's out of warranty, recalls never expire! Craig
I bought my '95 in Oct. of last year ,bone stock with 12,700 org. miles on it for $19,500. It also had a Boss plow that came with it.
I feel I got a great deal on it. My first diesel so I kept it stock for the first year just adding things like guages and some cosmetics to it. In Aug put on a 4" exhaust and after winter will do a TST fuel plate. This is sure a great site and I've learned a lot about my truck from the other members!
