I bought my brother in law a truck this afternoon I wanted ya'lls opinion if I gave to much for the the truck.

The truck is an 04. 5 2500 quad cab laramine premium pkg. Truck has 118k on the clock. It looks emaculant inside and out appears to have never pulled any kind of trailer as the factory receiver hitch has absolulty no wear on it. One owner and he traded it to downsize to a four door jeep. I gave 17,250 out the door. Tires have about 60% tread on them. It black with grey leather interior.

Let me hear what ya'll think.

If I read the blue book value right it had a private retail value of 21k. I couldn't find any sings of it being modded unless it had a smarty on it. Never had any guages on it for sure. I think I could have gotten the salesman down a little more if there hadn't been another guy sitting there waiting to by the truck.

You got a good by ! Now all you need is to take good care of it ! DON'T add a lot of junk on it that add horse power that way it will be a good truck to you, GOOD LUCK

CB as I read the post, YOU bought your B. I. L. a truck..... You have anymore sisters around:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf

Yea I got a sister left, but this bil was looking I found him the truck sent him to look at the truck and when deceided he wanted and went to get the finacing for it he was getting jerked around by the dealer, they would hold the truck tell monday even with a sizable deposit. So I just went bought the truck so he good get reasonable financing this week and pay me back. I felt like it was a really good truck that didn't need to get away. If he doesn't get his finacing figured out by weeks end I will have a truck for sale

CB, if you were happy to pay that amt, and he was happy to accept it, why the questions? The "intangibles", the care, the use, your trust that the owner had not neglected to change the oil etc prompted you to buy the ride. You've done it. Maybe you and BIL got a good one, maybe not. How they say... ... . Thank the Lord for it and drive and don't look back. If this is all you've got to worry about, you are home free!! LOL!! Mark
