I Installed a new Con O a few months ago and it has preformed great. Smooth engagement, very easy pedal, and all around perfect performance. Yesterday I shifted into 3 and it didn't hook-up. I was trying to get out of the way of another truck and didn't notice it was slipping at first until I smelt the cluch burning. At first it still acted fine, but stunk the rest of the day, badly. Last night it started to engage badly, it jerks and grabs. When shifting between gears it is fine, but on take off it grabs a couple times. It seems like it is getting slightly better but it is bothering me. Anyone have this happen to them before? Will it go away as it wears over time? I don't really want to have to replace the clutch again and am hoping it will be fine. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Tony

Tony... The very first thing you should do is talk to the guys at SBC... They can give you all the info you need to make sure it works as advertised... . ;)

SBC will take care of you but I bet you glazed your flywheel. It will get better with a couple hundred miles of easy driving.

Keep me updated!

The Con O has a bunch of metal woven in it. It may eventually clean all the glazing off caused from slipping it. I would keep her going for a few more miles and see if it gets better.

I slipped mine when I poured the coals to it and after a few hundred miles of driving it was perfect again.

I drove around today, and it seems like it might be a little better. Still jerks or grabs when taking off, in first, or second, and reverse. I am hoping it will wear back in and be fine. Was thinking of adding injectors but now am worried that this isn't enough clutch. Thanks for the input. Tony
