What do you guys think ?? I had my first oil+ filter changed In my 2006, at 3. 200mi by the dealer. I pulled the dip stick the next day and the oil was Black. I drove maybe 50miles I went back to U know who, and was told the oil always gets discolored very quickley. I drove my 12 valve for 270. 000mi and whenever I changed my oil, witch was about every 3000mi, the oil on the stick the next day looked clean ??? What do U folks Think ????

I changed the oil on my 05. The next day I checked the oil and had to ask my self the same thing, did I change the oil???. The 01 oil stayed clear for at least 1200 miles or so the 05 turns black after a trip around the block.

Ditto on the early black. I change my own oil, after the change, I ran the motor for a few minutes, turned it off and let it stand for a little while to check the oil level. You guessed it, almost as black as the old oil. Normal.....

Strange, isn't?

I changed my oil, let it sit overnight and dip-sticked it the next morning. It was soot-black and the motor was never started. The Valvoline was amber-colored as I poured it in. . for those who might think otherwise. '05/QC/LWB/G56/SRW

Mine started turning black at about 500 miles from new. I imagine it will be black till I get either a Franz or spinner II installed.

I can get about 2,000 miles on mine before it goes black. On my ol' 97 and '93 trucks I would go about 5-6,000 before it started to change.
