Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) did they fix the lift pump problem in the 03?

Are they still having problems with the lift pumps in the 03's or did they fix them. If they did fix them is the fix retrofittable to our trucks?

not fixed. different, unreliable design, not directly retrofittable to the old, unreliable type :(

Glad I got a 12 valve with the reliable, mechanical lift pump Oo.

When my 03 was new, I was seeing about 9. 5 PSI at idle. Now its dropped to 8 PSI at idle. Putting high flow bolts in seems to have arrested the downward spiral. I need to get a flow meter on the system to check my flow, and see if I've lost anything.

One thing is fo sure though: To get into the high power numbers (500 - 550 HP), we'll need a new lift to ensure the low pressure side of the CP3 doesn't run out of fuel.
