Turbo went kaboom. I jsut got home from hauling my truck home (idiot me left my spare turbo here).
Good news is I ran 13. 44 and 13. 48 (best two).
But yes I am home, exhausted, and still in shock... ... . Both from the time and the turbo incident. I "believe" I snapped the shaft which inturn took out the bearings, or seals whatever ya wanna call it and I lost alot of oil(out the tailpipe), so it idled with 0 oil pressure (according to the gauge) for about 30 seconds. Good news is I filled it up with 5 qts of oil and its slightly below the add mark. SO I still had about 5 qts in the system.
Once I gather my thoughts I'll post a bit more about it. Its an interesting ordeal for those of you that haven't expereienced it.
Yes, I haven't seen it yet but it probably Twisted the shaft. This is the same thing that I did to the first one I tested. I also took it to the strip and ran many 1/4 runs not to mention three+ weeks of street racing. The KS spools so fast that with high Hp numbers and "alittle Abuse" I think the shaft is giving up. I am building another with a Mod I was going to try before the B-1 Bomber was "Born"... I want to get the KS12 II together asap and have Kat test it. I think it can be improved some more plus I am going to try something that may alow us to go higher with the boost levels. Although if the latest B-1 performs like I expect it will be the choice for 400hp and up Especially the Dragstrip and Truck pull style use. 2 many Toys and 2 little time and 2 much fun!
