JET A Fuel Expert wanted

After Watching On Tv,,, The Major Oil Companys And The Group Of Senators... . i Concluded That Nothing Is Going To Get Done To Lower The Prices Of The Fuels Very Much... the Prices Are Coming Down From $3. 49 A Gallon To 2. 47 This Am... in Kansas... . But Thats A Long Way From $1. 50 A Gallon... . now Do We Vote Them Out Of Office??? Or Is There A Better Solution????? What Options Do We Have???? What Say You Tdr Friends????? Doc... ... ... .

The Senators - and other Washington politicians - all eat/drink from the same trough right beside those oil execs - just different branches of the same group of muggers of our society...

I'm surprised anyone would really even THINK the outcome of that "investigation" would turn out any different...

What a coincidence, just when the oil execs are in the public eye, down goes the price of fuel :D I agree with Gary, it's all just a dog and pony show to make us think that they are actually doing something for us.

no reduction in fuel prices here yet. You do know the oil companies have all the hammers. If anything is done to force oil companies to reduce prices or tax their profits, we will be sitting in long lines to fuel up again, just like in the 70's. Leverage will be used by big oil to build more refineries and that may help some. I am surprised that permission to drill in the Arctic has not been granted and is not in the mill yet. No matter what smoke screen big oil throws up, remember they have already recorded record profits last quarter and will top that this next quarter!!!

What do you expect when the Senators spend more time smoozing instead of asking questions that actually require an answer. Most spent their time trying to get their little hints across instead of asking the hard questions that require and answer. Crap in Crap out!

you guy's did a great job of hammering the situation,, but i didn't see any solutions or suggestions??? this is America, Surely someone can come up with some idea's. . one Gentleman suggested writing to the media. . i haven't seen anymore on that idea?????The way i see it for now, anyway, We retired people are going to have to choose closely when we drive and where ... Those with cash flow coming in will be a little more at ease to do more driving. . i was kinda wanting to do that May Madiness last May but choose to stay home. . because it's a long way from Kansas and the cost would have been a bit steep... Better save my dollars now so i can plan to be at the next one... ... . DOC

dont worry too much about the oil companies, they'll do ok, I think there is a bill in the house budget soon to be on GWB's desk that gives the oil companies a tax break from their excess profits, they need all the help they can get! :rolleyes:

Wouldn't be nice if we could get the Govt to Sub all of us TDR Fans... That way we could have enough fuel to drive to the Post Office to send in our Income Taxes next April... Doc. .

mid term elections coming up, investigations makes it look like our representatives are doing something for us and it's "shakedown time", to squeeze money out of the corporations to fill the "war chests" for re-election, then it will all go away and then its "business as usual", you all now know that this administration kowtows to their big finiancial contributors, (big oil companies and big drug companies), dont expect any change without political change in Washington. :{

No doubt it is all political and the oil companies will get it while they can. Long term we will need refineries. We have enough of our own oil in the GOM to keep up with supply for years and years to come. What we don't have is the refineries to handle production even the ones we have are outdated and don't run efficiently/safely. Don't think that the arctic oil leases are gonna drop fuel costs cuz they won't.

Come on guys, deal with it! Im first generation American (Ukrainian/Russian) and I gota say, Capitalizim has its good and bad. Did you realy think energy would be free (1. 50/gal) for ever? or hopefully your life time? Sure we could get more for less, longer, if people weren't corupt. But the FACT is OIL ENERGY HAS remained the CHEAPEST commodity for decades as far as not moving with the cost index. So in this regard the oil companies have done a dam good job. We can't stop other nations from gettin on the fuel tit. And here is where the fairy tail ends. Unfortunatly this is a nation of fantastic wast and the ONLY way to slow it down some is through the wallet. :( Sorry, but its true..... Those Chinesse bikes at Walmart are lookin pretty good these days!!!! :-laf
