Snap Ring Pliers

Snap On Wrench, did you know this??

Thanks for the info 04blackcherry. I have a plenty of volume available with my commercial tank. I need the die grinder for primarily cutting bearings and races on axles at this time. For some reason, there has been a demand of late for the rear axle seal replacements on Jeep XKs. To replace the seal requires removing the old bearings to get the old seal off and installing the new seal. I just happen to have everything I need to do the jobs. Guys bring me their axles, I remove and reinstall the bearings and seals and they come get them. The bearings have to be cut off and it has to be done carefully to avoid scarring the axle. I have to cut through about half way and then pop them with a chisel. Believe it or not, a small rotary tool works fine but I go through cut wheels pretty fast. I need die grinder that will last with low vibration.

Then you need quality stuff with good bearings in the head. The IR's we use are very smooth and you can feather the speed. Lot more control with a 90deg for your application. We use a 3" cutoff in a mandrel holder; collet head on the grinder. They are the best when you have good air. They keep their speed and don't bog down.

Looking to buy a new die grinder and will probably go with a 90 degree version this time. Any recommendations on a good one? Thanks.

So, have you made a decision with a die grinder? I just got my Landmesser tool paper today, and I’m posting a shot of the air die grinder page. I think you’ll be pleased.

I looked for IR, but I didn’t see any. Only real deal CP.

I haven't bit the bullet yet. Thanks for sending the paper. I have been tied up on some big projects and will be getting back on this. Those prices aren't bad.
