Die hard Golds are great battery, Had one in the malibu that lasted 9 years. Has the best warranty that I have seen too. Not too pricey either. Will be putting them in my CTD whenever mine go south.

I've had real bad luck with the Optimas. They look cool , but don't last.

I'll probably go with DieHard next time the need arises.

Well, I have never had good luck with Die Hard batteries. If you are on the road and need a replacement it sure is a lot easier to find a Wal-Mart than a Sears store!!! For that reason I run Wal-Mart batteries in everything I own.

I just put a set of Wally yellows in mine. They work like a champ. The cold cranking power is better than the factory batteries. It lights off so fast, it is almost unbelievable. I was going to go with Die Hards, Exides or Interstates.

The Wally yellows turned out pretty good FYI.

I had 3 Die hards in six years, they, died HARD every two years. When the last one to died I took it back to Sears. The Kid at Sears wanted to test the batterys to see if any thing was wrong, I guess the ACID leaking out of the post and the bulge in the side was not enough of a clue there was something wrong.

After this, I got the RED TOPS and have never has any problems. Optimas (RED TOPS) are all I will use.

I've had Wally's yellow MAXX in my 97 for about 5 years now, I think. Still crank fine, even after sitting for a few weeks. I'm not a huge WM fan, but the batteries are good, and WM's are all over if you have a problem.

A few years ago Die Hard batteries and Walmart batteries were both made by Johnson Controls. They probably still are. I had a hard time finding a Walmart battery in the correct size. Sears had a Die Hard that fit perfectly. But only once so I got Interstates and love them.
