This is the 4th time ive compained about this and followed the advice from all the other threads ... How ever my truck still does this heres a recap . .

Stock Injectors

Fried ECM

Suncoast tripple disk , 5. 0 KDL , ProLoC VB

Got the ECM fixed and transmission work done the same day .....

Truck Drops in RPMs when put in D or R ,,,, Maginal but noticable way more than stock RPM drop .....

Went with Bosiuos 60HP injector alot worst ,,, OK when engines up to temp but when its below op temp it still died a few times ,,, minimal in R mostly in D ...

Went with Haisleys 160HP sticks now it about dies 9/10 times the other times its Sweet dont hardly drop at ALL .

People said its the Vp44 going out ... well VP44 went out ... New Vp44 and it still does it

People Said its the ECM ,it needed updated and the cold weather reflash ... I took it tot he dealer thsey said I had the new version with all the updates

People said that the pressure were too high in the transmission ... I took it to the shop and had them cranked down ... DIDnt change a thing

Now people are saying the TC is too tight ... called suncaost they want to change it from 1900 RPM stall to 300-400 Rpm higher ... then called them back to ask more quesations and they said they dont think it will work .

Just got off the phone with Jeff Garmons Cell and he said its the injector and changeing the stall isnt going to fix it he said I need to shim my injectors to pop off around 4000 in stead of 3000 like I think they are now

What the hell is going on here ??????

Do I yank the injectors the transmission or what ????

Help!

Im not running my stock ECm ,,,, Could it be the ECM mis Matched

The dealer just said that ecm is updated already ... would it matter if the Code Numbers were off a bit ? I dont know what my stock Code was ,,,,can that be had off the Egine CPL ?

Just got off the phone with dave gorend he said if it was the TC being too Tight it would do it the same everytime . .

I told him some times its perfect and other times it kills the truck

So Im back to having not a clue other than ECM Mis-MAtch thats been elevated with each step up to larger injectors

Bob Wagner - Is doing me a Huge Favor

Something thats Never been done before and wasnt exspected in a Million Years

Thank You Mr. Wagner for your Help and Concern

Im Totally Floored

Still awaiting the ecm from Wagner . .

Decided to isolate the twisted wires from the split loom as discussed on the home page. . This is sucking pretty bad 2 hrs and im about 50% starting at the altanater and alond drivers side of the block ect... AGHHHHHHHHHnot even sure if im doing the right thing or not from page 39 of issue 52 , just strinping the loom all the way from the Altanater to the PCM and isolating the twisted wires ,,,thing is Im not sure what set of wires it is ,,,, a set of twisted wires enters at the altanater and a diffrent set ends up at the PCM twisted ,,??????

I cant find a thread on here about this fix anyone know where I can find more in fo on the 24V Altenater noise tc eratic fix ?

My truck has been doing the exact same thing starting this summer. Have been riding motorcycle alot so hasn't been a huge issue yet but would like to get it fixed. Let me know if you get it figured out and I will do the same.

Does the truck jerk, like dumping the clutch, or just shut down like turning the key?

The PCM controls the TQ/C lockup. Have you tried cleaning the connections at the PCM? Remember that the lockup switch uses a 30 ohm resistor, you may have a corrosion problem that is shorting the TC circuit.

The TC noise problem was posted on the front page by Dunrite, it called for wraping foil around the ground wire to the alt and securing it with black tape. Mike

DM,

My truck has been doing the same thing ever since I bombed it and I know there are several other trucks in the same boat... . everyone just deals with it because there's no solution for it (yet). I've tried everything - the flash, cleaning electrical connections, changing injectors, letting it run for 10+ seconds, shifting into N first and then D or R, comp on/comp off, etc.

My problem is intermittent and very random. Occasionally, it will shift into D or R perfectly as if it were a stock truck/car... . strange. Most of the time, I get a huge drop in RPM's as if it's going to stall and then it recovers with a huge surge in RPM's (you would think I blipped the throttle, but my foot is on the brake). And then of course sometimes it stalls and I have to restart. When it stalls it usually stalls a few times in a row (embarrassing in a crowded parking lot).

Some trucks do the stalling thing when the air temp is cold... ... but mine does it when the air temp is hot (summer).

The only thing I haven't tried is installing the tin foil... . I'll try that and see if it helps. Let me know if you ever get yours figured out. There are many other guys who would like to put the stalling to rest... forever.

same problem

I have the same problem, when the engine is cold it varies 25 rpm with no jump. When it is warm it drops 125 rpm going int P or D. 2 VP 44's Please let me know if you fix it. just posted mine again

It's fixed not the VP44

Advanced Diesel in Anchorage took my truck as a personal issue and fixed it. they installed the in tank primary pump. I've driven it for a month with no problem.

i know its probably not related but when i had my 93 over injector lines in mine did the same thing.

once i forgot to plug in my valve body on the transmission and it started to work fine but i had 3rd gear starts but i could shift it into d and r just fine.

I changed out the lines and all fine now. oh and adjusted the volt reg.
