Thanks for the info Don, I might try to make this one also. Have you been before? Hows the track, how are the owners, how is the crowd? Maybe, if its a decent race, we can get this added to the DHRA for next year.

Ted

It's a pretty decent but small track with some nice people. I have raced there before, but not with a diesel. Not usually too crowded either.

ted,, i have been there before but have not raced there. it looked clean and organized when i last seen it. it's no "MIR" but nice.

antrim93/rick may be able to help with your question on the owners.

Hey everybody,I think it would be a great idea to seek out tracks that are having diesel & truck events, and use the DHRA to support them. I did mention this event to Neal late last year cause friend of mine faxed me a flier of the event. But I think the schedule had already been set. I think Teds idea of making this event into a DHRA race is a good idea. This is certainly an event I,d like to make. Merv

Ok well here is how it goes. It is a D. H. R. A. points race. There will be 5 classes Big truck,Dump truck,Pick-up truck,Car's,and a quik 8 wich as far as I know is only 8 diesel trucks or cars. More info on track location, directions, and other info can be found at the link provided by ''Iceman'' . Last year this event was held for the first time but the D. H. R. A. was not involved and there were about 9 big trucks that competed. I posted the event on here last year. and we had an ok turn out only about 4 came that herd from the TDR posts. and about 4 others just showed up. Its was fun. The track owner was suprised of the crowd attention it got,{15 sec. big rigs are fun to watch} and decided to make it an event for this year. So this year the word is out and I hope to see many more. It is a nice track and everything goes very well. Once again If there are any qestions I'll try to awnser them or direct you to someone who would know. Thanks hope to see you all there... .....

Antrim93,

Thanks for the information, but I am curious about how it is a DHRA points race as it's not on the schedule for division 1. Did you mean it was a DDRA points race instead? Either way I think I will definately try to make this one, and I know of a few others that will also.

cool

im gonaa try and make this one. id like to see how fast my truck is 1/4. not too far way either. keep us posted antrim93

Sounds good Id like to see as many there as possible. I'm not sure on the cost you can see there web site for more info at the link provided by "iceman" earlyer in this thread. I'm thinking cost will be around $25. Again I hope to see you all attend it seems to be getting bigger every year.

I hope to make it out for the race on Sunday with my Geriatric Juvenile of a truck. Oo. I just got the beast back together thanks to the guys at Auto Wurks Diesel. They replaced my head which is now fire ringed and has a 10 over gasket so I no longer hit the pistons with the valves. I need you guys to give me a break :-laf because I have not been out to the track since the 4 th of July weekend . I am a bit out of practice with the tree and have not had a chance to shake the truck down yet. I need to have the finial torque done on the truck this Friday so I can come out and play the APR studs took all summer long to get I only hope its all been worth the wait.

I'm very glad to hear of the people that have intrest in the event. Last year I posted the same event with little success. Now that the DDRA is involved that helps get the word out. Once again I hope for cool dry weather,And thanks for helping this year be a great turnout.
