Can anyone explain the difference between Diesel Dynamics Stage 3 extruded honed injectors and the Stage 3 jammers? They both claim 100hp, but what is the difference? thanks for the help.

Extruded honed injectors start with injector tips that are already drilled and use an abrasive honing media to make the holes bigger. Most use stock tips to begin with, so the spray pattern doesn't change.

Jammers use EDM - kinda like a big spark that burns a hole through a blank tip where no hole exists. It allows for the spray pattern to be changed, and also provides better control of tolerances.

EDMs will usually produce less smoke (hence probably better MPG too). Hope this helps.

The original DD3's were a modified stock nozzle. They are a 7-hole design. The Jammers are a new 8-hole design. They will typically make less smoke and EGT for the power level than the original 7-holers did.

DDII's

Not to change the subject too much, but has there been any changes or improvments in the DDII's since 2003 until now or are they still the same. I had mine installed in March of 03' and they have been great but I hear of more poop and less smoke on the latest versions of the new EDM sticks.

How do the DD3's handle towing 18K GCWR with my setup (see sig. ) What kind of HP/TQ are we looking at??
