Went down south last Sat to Fast Specialties. Stomp was there and another 1st genner I recognized but can't remeber his handle. Dyno'ed my 91. 5 for the first time and got 146/359. Not bad for a stock truck with 245k! Out of about 40 trucks, highest numbers for the day were 516rwhp and 1006ftlbs. Sorry, can't remember the make of the trucks. Maybe they'll post the results. Too bad they didn't have a prize for the lowest score…'cause that was me :{ :)

I take it Stomp didn't dyno then eh?

Don't worry, a little money and elbow grease and you'll be close to that 500hp mark  .

His fancy VE busted on the way up I guess. He dynoed in the 300's on another pump he swapped with the hot rod pump. All the king's horses couldn't figure what had broken in it.

Yeah, but I think I'll start with the 200 mark.

Well I actually seized it last Thursday on my way down to the shop to adjust the brakes on the new Dana 80. I turned up the fuel screw one turn the night before and I finally had a chance to step on it. Well it lasted about 2-3 seconds before it shut down. I called Brad at Ponci's and he came and pulled me back to the shop. He told me that if I still wanted to go he could put my spare on for me, but he wouldnt be able to get to it until later that night. It just so happened that my boss was at the shop and I asked if he could find coverage for me. I had a couple of hours before I had to go so I thought I would get started on it and if I didnt finish Brad could do the rest. Well my boss found coverage for me so I just stayed and finished the job. I am actually getting quite good at pulling the pump. :D

The stocker only made 368hp and 800+tq. So back to the drawing board. It looks like I might be able to come up with enough parts to build one more before I go to May Madness. The only problem is we dont have much time I leave on the 2nd of May. As soon as Carl at Bradley's gets it apart he is going to send it back to KTA to see if he can come up with something else to try. He has a couple of ideas so I will get started on those in the mean time.

So there might still be a chance to put down some big numbers at MM.

Sri Ram- It was nice to meet you. You have one clean D250. Nice numbers for a stocker. Oo.

Thanks, Stomp. I'm pretty proud of her. BTW, I really like that Dana 80. What is the ratio?

Yeah, Jeff, TimB has one good lookin' 92. :D

See you at the NWB soon

Yeah I would be proud too. I never had a chance to dyno mine before I started turning it up. I really wish I had. I have 3. 54 gears in the 80. Which worked good because that was what I had in the 70 so I didnt have to change them.

Well it looks like the pump didnt totally destory itself so I should have it back by the end of the week or early next week. That should give me plenty of time to put it on the rollers and see what she will do before I go to MM.
