Jannetty Racing Track Rental Day

Hey all -

Any of you NJ guys have any trouble with your diesel going thru inspection?

Well, specifically - related to any emission testing our trucks have to go through?

Like 90% of the guys here - I run a 4" exhaust with muffler. . but no cat ;) The previous owner had it pass NY emissions that way... just wondering what all the NJ guys have seen.

Thanks,

Jay

Correct! I went through the NJ stability inspection along with regular inspection w/o a problem. He looked at my straight pipe and smiled. :D

WOOOHOOO. . thanks guys! I have my stability inspection this wednesday over at Asbury Park - the Winslow location was booked 'till mid-june!

PullinRam, if you made it through OK - I'm set... your truck makes mine look small! :D

Good luck bud. Ya wont need it anyways but oh well lol. Dan at the winslow (ancora) station passed me fine and even overlooked a few small problems that I addressed to him before we even started the test. Such as 1 bad tie rod end, a leaky front axle seal, and my semi-rigged mudflaps lol. But I had both a new TRE and axle seal at home and the flaps wellll ya know lol. Mention my truck to him and he might help ya out. He's a really good guy.

Hahaha... I'm hoping they just look and smile at my lack of cat too ;)

I have an appt Wed... but up at the Asbury Park location... Dan over at Winslow couldn't get me in until mid-June!!

Other than my tint and no cat... the rest should be a piece of cake!

The new building on rt 70 in the Brick/Lakewood area is good. Theyre only about a mile off the parkway.

Kids there were super stupid. :D

Eric

BTW the line for diesel vehicles is almost always empty.

Update: She passed :D

It was more involoved than I was expecting... took about 1hr 10min or so.

I was up on a ramp (2wheels up, 2 down), scale - then they went over everything else - heights, driveline, etc... . didn't say a word about the missing cat though!

Thanks everyone,

Jay
