Ok need some pics..

With the huge increase in Diesel (here at least - TAG-you're next!) I wonder how long it will be till the HD off road equipment starts getting the fuel stolen or tankers being hi-jacked?????

how much you want for the key?? :-laf we too have 1000 gallon tanks at work and they sit on the side of the road, started thinking about that last year. a pair of bolt cutters could get a person a lot of fuel at construction sites. oh well glad i dont have that risk :)

Lots of farmers/ranchers around where my parents live (north of Sac, CA) have been getting robbed of diesel and gas. Problem is, they steal 10 or 20 gallons and let 100-200 gallons run out of the ground because they destroy the tanks to get it.

I filled up a 55 gallon drum when the price hit 2. 49. I'm going to be ****** if the price does not go up of if someone steals it. I also had to unload the the barrel out of the back of my truck with no help or ramps. It was heavy.

Yep My neighbor as been having trouble with Gas thieves. so we switched the tanks (3 500 gal) around and moved the gas to his house. those guys are going to be in for a surprise the next time they fill up. cause it aint gasoline in them thar tanks anymore.

I've been on the fence about running off road (dyed) fuel in my truck recently. its very tempting to service the truck right here in the back yard, but i just dont want the trouble if i get caught.

I've been checked twice in the last year. They set up on an intersection where there is no way to get away from them. From what I hear, a person could buy on road for a long long time with the money that they would fine you if you got caught. I know people that have ran it, but most have stopped now. Its just not worth it to me.

You never when you are being video taped these days. If I had a tank, I would have some kind of security. It's not nice to steal someone's hard earned property.

We just noticed this problem when one of our drivers was complaning about his fuel milage. So we started checking and someone has been siphoning fuel out of our trucks. Guess it is time for a late night sting with the 300 winmag :)

If the truck has dual tanks, block one and fill it with water/ lil bit of diesel mix that will teach em!!!

theifs suck!

I had problems about three years ago with people stealing fuel so I went to Farm Fleet and bought a gallon of linseed oil and back filled my hose with it. Two mornings later there was an older Ford diesel less than 1/2 a mile from my driveway with a siezed engine. I took note of the tow shop and made a point to stop in a couple days later... mechanic said they couldn't beat the pistons out of the block with a 16 pound sledge hammer :--)
