I have a fairly strong smell of diesel in the interior of the truck I just bought.

Today I went out at lunchtime to throw a few things into it, and just from opening up my console lid, and then getting back out I have diesel smell on my hands.

Is there anything good for getting rid of this? I've sprayed the inside with Frabreeze already.

Shampoo the carpet, and Fabreez the rest. Then leave both windows open all day during the heat and pray! If truck is running well, check fuel return line, it may be spraying in near where the throttle linkage goes through the firewall. Also one place I've picked up a fuel odor is on my boots at a dirty fuel island.

Good luck!

I second the vote for the fuel return line. When mine went bad is the only time I have ever had diesel "smell" inside the vehicle.

I've had the stink too. I filled up and the ground was wet, obviously I got my boots wet with diesel that someone spilled and then ground it into my floormats. I had to shampoo to get it out.
