Building a Fuel Tank

At the L. A. Auto show my wife encountered a lady in the Dodge area that said the Durango would be getting larger; Suburban size larger! I blew it off as I didn't get a chance to pick this person brain. However when I went to Phoenix, Az. , some friends there mentioned the same thing from their auto show the week before.

TWO questions:

Is Dodge finally going to make a FULL-size SUV?

If yes, will they beat GM to the punch and put the diesel in it?

My wife wants an Excursion, I hate to say it, being a Mopar guy and all, but the closest I'd get is the Suburban, and I hate GM. But a Dodge built behemoth makes my mouth water. Her '85 is starting to show its' age and I've warned her I'll put the new Hemi in it when the '94 360 gives up. (I really don't look forward to having to fulfill that threat) Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Embelished

According to car-truck.com, The next Durango will be 25% larger in interior space, and larger and longer by a moderate amount. It will not be as large as the Subhuman. Having owned a Sub, I don't recomend anything that large for every day driving. Will the new Durango ever have a diesel? With the public starting to come around to smoke motors, it could happen in the future.

Jeddards- My new Four Wheeler mag. came today. Said that a 2. 8L I- 4 cylinder turbocharged diesel w/ common-rail injection (CRD) will be available in the '05 Jeep Liberty.

Here are the specs that they gave for the version that is going to Europe- 150hp. at 3800 rpms. , 266 ft/lbs. torque at 1800 rpms.

Has DOHC, 16 valves, hydraulic lifters. Going to be backed by the 545RFE 5spd auto. Claiming 0-62 mph in 12. 6 sec.

My understanding of this (after researching the internet a few weeks ago (i hear the same rumor)) is that it will not be the durango that gets it, but a new 'style' SUV they will be coming out with in 2005. It is supposed to compete with the Sub. and Expedition. It will receive a diesel, but unfortunately as I understood it, if it comes to perission, it will get a mercedes diesel. Again that is the accumulation of about 100 different websites I looked at.
