Flatbed Gooseneck Questions

Where to put the brake controller?

I am thinking of taking 287/385 North through Colorado this year on the way to Sturgis, SD. It looks like it would be a easier way to go than I-25, but I am a little concerned about finding diesel along the way.

Any truck stops, or similar stations along the 287/385 route?

You won't have any trouble finding diesel on your proposed route. Lamar should be OK (it's been a lot of years since I was through there but they had a good truck stop). Limon has a Flying J and once you get farther up there are plenty of places. If you go 385, Burlington will have diesel as will Wray. Alliance, Nebraska is a major crossroads as well.
