Posting for a friend. My buddy bought an 89 w250 CTD. He noticed the engine oil was high so he changed it. Within 400 miles he noticed the oil pressure light came on at idle when the engine has hot. Checked the oil and it was over an inch over the full mark, and all diesel fuel ( no oil left )

He replaced the lift pump thinking that was the problem and changed the oil again. Within another 400 ish miles the same thing occurred. This time seeing a line of fuel coming from the rear main seal and the breather. He did a quick oil change in Walmarts parking lot and drove it home. When truck sits for a while it smokes blue when it's warming up. Other than that it runs fine. Could it be leaky injectors, or an injection pump input seal. It runs smooth. Any ideas will help

Id say he has leaky injectors . There is no other way for fuel to enter the block any other way , other than possibly through the gear side of the pump .

I'm leaning towards pump seal my self. Not sure, but I thing it would smoke alot of white (?) smoke if the injectors were leaking, but not too sure. The local diesel shop has the front seal in stock for around $20. Is there anything else that should be done when the pump is out?

It says 76000, not sure if that means 176000. The engine was really clean on the bottom and sides, which makes me lean towards the 76000 mile mark...

Yeah, the 89s were hard to determine actual mileage. And if the mechanic was clean, that truck could have more on it than you think!
