Diesel getting into my friends 2003 5.9 non ho drained out nearly 5 gallons from crankcase was fine on day and the next the oil was up an 2 inches on his dip stick stopped driving it . ideas

Pull the valve cover and fire it up. Disconnect the FCA and watch for the fuel spraying out of the injector body to locate the offending injector. Be careful when you disconnect the FCA as any leak can cut your skin when the rail pressure dead heads.

Tried to retorque the connector tubes?

Usually the injectors are changed in Sets of 6 - it isn't recommended to change them piece by piece.

A bit dangerous to change just 2 with cracked bodies, the rest are HIGHLY suspect. The problem is the next time it becomes a problem could be when the oil pressure drops to nothing because the crank case is all diesel. A set of injectors is expensive, a rebuild is much more so.

I replaced one injector when it went bad simply because I couldn't afford six of them. But once I had the money to replace the remaining 5 I did it. Or rather my son-in-law diesel mechanic did. I didn't want to drive it too long with 5 suspect injectors. I suggest you replace them all if/when you can afford it.

Cheers
