I was thinking about going to this. My first ever event was 2004 Thunder In Muncie, and I had a blast. Did not check this forum until after I got home and realized a bunch of TDR folks were there and only got to meet a couple :(

How does this compare to TiM? Recommended places to stay? Cost?

LETS SEE ADMISSION IS $ 7. 00 , AND WE HAVE A DEAL WITH THE BEST WESTERN IN DANVILLE , KY WHICH IS 11 MILES AWAY, RATE IS $49. 00 A NIGHT , TELL THEM U R THERE FOR LINCOLN CO. FAIR. PHONE NUMBER IS 859-236-5525. WE ARE EXPECTING LOTS OF TRUCKS AND WELL HOW IT COMPARES TO TIM , I BETTER NOT SAY BECAUSE I AM A LITTLE BIAS.

So am I!!:D

As a general rule, anyplace that is pulling Diesel pickups is worth the trip.

Stewrat has poured a ton of work into this pull, and I have never heard any complaints, and there is always a mess of trucks.

The tractors are a bonus.

TiM is one of a kind, but so are all the other events/drag races/fair pulls.

Not sure the count on TDR members, at TiM, but I bet it was nearing 1000.

Not going to be able to go. My neice is getting married, and my wife and daughter are in the wedding - that weekend. Maybe next year. For some reason, I was thinking the wedding was the weekend following.

So where would the big guys like Kent, Van, and Dave pull - in the Open Diesel class on Thurs or in the Super Modified classes on the weekend?

I could probably make it down on the weekend, but figure most of the good action will be on Thurs... .

Chris

OK FOLKS WHO ALL IS PLANNING ON ATTENDING I HAVE HEARD FROM PEOPLE LIKE : NICK HAYES , RYAN MILBY , KEVIN CAUDILL , KENT CROWDER , ERIC STACEY & MANY OTHERS . SHOULD BE A HELL OF A SHOW.

Just made my reservations at the Best Western for Thursday night.

People, if you are thinking of attending a good pull.

This is the one you need to be at.

There are more details on www.haisleymachine.com or www.kydtr.com

From the way things are looking, you will have top trucks from;

Enterprise Engine Performance, Scheid Diesel and Haisley Machine.

Also a who's who of street class pullers.

I'll be making the trip since its only about 20 miles down the road. Should be a great pull, hope to see everybody there. Wonder if there will be any extra weights laying around if some local boy decides to pull?
