Diesel Motorcycle

I was driving south on Interstate 15 by the Miramar Marine Air Base today and came up on some Marines (8) on motercycles. They looked like 250 - 350 cc dirt bikes. There was no marking other than U. S. M. C. on the rear of the bikes. On the tank in large letters was JP8/DIESEL. I know JP8 is jet fuel, but diesel. Way cool.



A diesel off road bike. I wished I had a camera! I know everone has seen one, but this was my first.

Yeap,I heard that Kawasaki made a small number of them for the military. There is also Enfeild,Brit machine that makes a diesel. Talking to a couple of trike builders and they said they would put any diesel you want in one of their trikes for ya.....

I heard that Polaris makes a diesel quadrunner.

Yeah the Diesel Polaris is just like the Sportsman but in blue. It has a 455cc single.
