Having trouble finding manufacturers willing to meet proposed new CARB regulations for particulate standards in CA, for high horsepower stationary diesel engines. In order to comply with proposed maximun allowable run-time hours some owners want to meet proposed CARB standards.
I've talked to Johnson Matthy and DCL, the largest filters they make go up to 800 HP on a single unit. Beyound that, we're talking about multiple banks, that take up a lot of space and will not retro-fit easily into existing applications.
For typical 2,000 or 3,000 HP diesel we're looking at a box about 12' square and at least a ton in weight.
Also, nobody I have talked to will even consider filters for existing two-cycle units (Detroit Diesel). (Backpressure concerns)
