Alright after reading all the posts on Gasoline, Jet and Diesel prices I thought I had better shed a little light based on what I am seeing as a oil worker at one of the major oil refineries her in So Cal.
First off, the picture is not a pretty one. As of this writing we are maxed out!!!!!!!
. Our production is barely able to keep up. We are importing raw blend stocks as well as finished GJ and D from Texas, Hawaii, and Wa st. just to keep up. The prices you see today would be a welcome site one year from today, as the forecasted price for a barrel of crude is expected to hit the $75. 00 per barrel mark soon.
You gentlemen need to relax and be happy there's fuel available without waiting in long lines, as thats the next harsh reality :{. All of us as need to contact our senators to support increasing or existing refineries throughput capacities. Doing so can help expedite/streamline the permitting process for expanding and improving our refining piping and distribution infrastructure.
Keep in mind that there is crude available, albeit expensive. But all of us would agree having it available at a high price is better than no fuel and possible lines at the pump.
Alright let me have it. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 :-{}
