My truck, which has been flawless since I bought it in Feb 09, started "missing" as I drove this morning and would exhaust white smoke when it "missed". Anything over the mildest throttle would cause it to stumble and smoke white smoke.

It threw a code. I'm worried I might not be able to drove home. Can anyone recommend where I can get my code read and possibly help me with the issue?

The truck in my sig has 36,000 miles on it. I'd rather find an easy way to get the code read before going to the dealer under warranty.

Thanks.

Is your check engine light on? if so try one of the big box autoparts stores they will do it for free. Check your oil level to make sure you don't have a stuck injector filling up your crankcase.

Go to the nearest AUTOZONE STORE and ask them to help read the codes.

Where is home? Not much information in your signature.

If I can help, just send me a private message ASAP with your phone # and I'll call you back asap.

Tolmsted, p-bar, thank you. Home is central Denver in the Hilltop area. I'm ust leaving work right now and hope I can make it. Will try. If not I have AAA who can tow it home.

There is an Autozone neaby. Thanks for that tip. The GO Dodge dealer could take me tomorrow AM, but that is far out of the way and I'd just rather see the code first.

Now I need that Smary Jr. to read the codes.

Will report back tomorrow.

Update: The truck just started fine again on its own. The code was a P0140 - Fuel Delivery Malfunction.

I don't have a root cause, but it is running fine again. I cleared the code and will wait for it to return. I can't recreate the problem.

I also learned the truck is standard OBDII, didn't know that when I originally posted.

Thanks you guys.
