Scotty is putting on another event/Stampede Dyno... we need the vendors to get onboard ASAP.

this should be a very good one. . same week as the Calgery Stampede. . a very fun Rodeo of all Rodeo's. . and Diesel Fest all in one

Hey Mid West guys meet ya there ??

HI HO CANADA!!!

EH!!!

I'm looking forward to this excursion.

Do they have mosquitos in Calgary like they do in Alaska??? YIKES!!!

He picked the weekend?

Good good-very much looking forward to event # 2... the first one was a blast. Hope to see lots and lots of vendors there as well as copious amounts of Cummins-powered Rams. Assuming I don't get hit by a train first or lose my job I will be BOMBed to the moon by then!

Bringing this one back to the top....

Should be a blast I'm thinking..... any of you within at least striking distance of Calgary should pencil it in on your calendar. The event should be great-and we can all go to Cowboy's Saturday night and drool over the waitresses :D . They tell me Stampede time brings out the hotties in full force... .

This is THE EVENT of the year!!!

If you miss this one, you'll be kicking yourself!!!

The latest info as seen on The Other Site:

The dates are confirmed... July 12-15th

Southbend has confirmed that they will be there. Piers is pretty sure he will be there. Bill at DTT emailed me and said he is interested. Kwik Kurt and Nowel of performance Diesel are planning to come. Wee Willy too.

Emailed Diesel Dynamics today.

Plus we have communication going with Race City for the drags and uncle Billy is working on the sled pulls.

We might host the Western Canada All Strength Strongman final too! This means the show will be televised.

any vendors reading that are interested... post here or email me.

Scott

We are going to give MM a run for the money right here in cowtown.

Again you can email or PM me for any further info. .

Back to the top again!

Remember you guys south of the border-your money is almost better than gold up here (almost :) ). Good time to be had by all-lots of vendors committed to showing up and lots of trucks coming. If you haven't made your plans for the July 13-14 weekend you should seriously consider crossing the 49th and hanging with us Northerners for the weekend :D. I promise not to make fun of your accents too much... ... :p

If you need some more info you can PM me or Lil' Dog-if we don't have the answers we can find someone who does!

JMan

I will be there!!!! Sounds like too much fun to pass up on... i stopped by the Edge tonite and talked with them and they sound interested also.

Eh! just a heads up

Some of us cross the border more than others

first make sure you bring along "birth certificates" or the crossing:rolleyes:guards will treat you like second hand trash ;)

Well the video we have of the event was a hit and the Green light is on for this event... . July 13-14, 2002 at Waterous Detroit Diesel in Calgary.

As previously reported, maybe not here, the Sled pulls and Drag racing have not been added, as this is our first kick at the can. But don't dispair!!! This is going to be a dyno/Tech show/Show and Shine that is a first for this area.

All those interested in the event we will be posting more complete details here and an events page is going to be up in the next week on Scotty's website , we hope.

The plan is for a 2 day dyno/tech show / Show and Shine event with 8 bays available for installs on the spot and technical seminars. The dyno event organization is going to be very quick to fill our 30 slots. The Superflow dyno is going to have the latest software available with data-links for the ISB's. Oo.

We are planning to have different dyno "programs" available for those who are interested in different power numbers. We want to develop runs for those who are just mental with HP and want just the peaks. . Then we are going to have testing the RPM range of useable HP, we mean the RPM's you would be towing your RV/trailers with. A more useful number for those hauling and using performance products for that purpose.

We anticipate LOTS OF DAMAGE!!!! as most of the high HP guys haven't been on a Superflow which is a load dyno not an inertia dyno. This isn't a quick spin, its a good 5 minutes of full out pulling that is sure to bring some of the auxillary fueled trucks to their knees.

I will try to keep people posted on the event. Those interested can email me at Lil-Dog for more details.

Hope to see some, heck all of you out there!!!

Looking forward to meeting you Dee-hoping you can convince the Edge fellas to make the pilgrimage north to see how we do things up here on the other side of the 49th! :D .....

Bob makes a good point about bringing ID for the border guards-we live in a different world now since 9/11.....

And like Jase said there hasn't been any planning done for side events so the important stuff gets priority. But a little birdie told me :) (actually their website) that Race City conveniently has Test and Tune night scheduled for that Saturday night. So a few of us freaks may have an unofficial event to attend-you know just to throw the troops into disarray when the Black Fog starts obscuring the traps :D ! I've never raced this thing-and frankly I don't think I can cut any kind of #'s even worth repeating with its weight, 6 spd. , and a rookie driver. But I'm willing to try! Just another thing to keep in mind... ... .

On a Serious note.....

Gentlemen... and Ladies,

I have recieved some messages about the dyno day with some concern over the comments on damage...

While this was said in fun, some have taken it to mean that we are here to detonate trucks just for fun. . That is not the case!!!.

We realise the commitment and welcome all long distance drivers and the dyno runs are not any life shortening experience. The dyno run is no different than hitting the 8% grades loaded.

We have the use of the dyno at Waterous Detroit Diesel with qualified Diesel technitions operating the dyno. I personally found the experience non-threatening as the load is slow and easy and not made to shock load your truck.

For those that have been put off by that comment, I apologize. Its all in fun and we all want to drive home, all in one piece.

If you have any comments, questions or concerns please email me at Lil-Dog and I will respond as quickly as possible. .

We want to make this event the best Canadian event this side of the Rocky's. Hope to see you there!!

An events page is currently underway and will be available soon at Diesel Power Pluswebsite.

Stay tuned!!
