$2. 49 the best I can find on the way to work. $2. 89 down the street from my house.

Gas is in the $2. 05 range for the best price.

Oh yeah, they say here gas/diesel prices are dropping because of the upcoming gubernatorial election. Afterward, expect to pay more like the $3+ we saw earlier. What a joke! STOP SHOPPING INSIDE THE GAS STATIONS and you will see a drop in prices of fuel. Why do people buy anything other than gas at a gas station???????? Stations make the most money off sales inside the station, not on the fuel.

hammersley take heart it droped to $3. 15 in topinish. i went to leavenworth and it was $3. 25 to $3. 39. i went over the pass to sulton and it was... ... ... ... $2. 89. i put in 20 gallons in leavenworth at $3. 25. darn!! i would have saved $7. 00 in sulton, wa.

So, if they make less money inside the store they'll drop prices on the gas so they'll make less there?

I worked at 2 different gas stations. The one was a low volume station and he made $. 02 on regular unleaded. The other was a high volume station. He sold it for a little less than his cost. He sold enough that he got a rebate from Atlantic.

That's the way most stations work. The profit margin for the stations is very low.

Let your congressman know what you think about it. It DOES work----particularly in numbers. They say there is a diesel shortage because of the strong economy and growing demand overseas where diesel is a much more prevalent fuel for general use. Maybe so but I don't appreciate the "pile on" being done on top of that one bit.

Fuel Price difference

Looks like its working like this; The big rig otr guys get a 17percent break off the top, so that puts their cost right about the same as reg gas, we owners of the pov/diesles can't get that discount so... Well you get the idea... TL

I would say we need a change of control in the House & Senate this election day and 2008. You in the North West do you not get your crude from B P in Alaska. :--)

What plan does any politician have that will bring down the price of fuel?
