Sayonara!

Alaska rally July 30-31

Diesel Thunder will be held on August 20th at Dishman Dodge and Davis Diesel. Same location as last year.

There will be Dyno runs, Show & Shine and Drag Racing at SRP.

If I'm not mistaken, Opie had high HP last year at 750!

Hope to see you there!

I'm planning to attend, haven't been back to Dishmans since I purchased my truck, my Daughter and 3 grandsons live there good excuse for a visit

I would first like to thank all of our Sponsors of Diesel Thunder for your generosity and continued support.

Thank you to all of those that drove many mile to attend this event. I hope all have a great time.

Special thanks to Morgana for her help and for keeping Jason and I in line and on track.

Jason as all the results and I will get them from him and post them.

I was extremely impressed with Ghost Riders performance! It dynoed at 489. 8 HP and 942. 3 TQ with the Hot Juice with Attitude! Then to my surprise Ghost Rider won Peoples Choice Award! Thanks to everyone who thought that of it and cast their vote accordingly. Then we went to Spokane Raceway Park. My thoughts were that if Ghost Rider was around 15 second I would be happy. Well the best run was 13. 859 at 97. 85 MPH and a slow reaction time of . 3610 and made it all the way to the semi-finals. That was the first time I've ever drag raced and it was a great learning experience and I had a great time!

Thanks to everyone who attended to make Diesel Thunder another success!

Here are some pictures I took, sorry I didn't have time to get more, it was a very busy day! Next year maybe someone will volunteer to be Diesel Thunders photographer, I'll supply the camera if needed.

What another great Diesel Thunder! :D Soooooo many more trucks than there used to be, with about 20 in the modified class! I didn't get a count on the number racing, but maybe 40? Racing was won this year by a D'max, runner up was a Powerstroke; our world comes crashing down... :p

Big thanks to Jason and Gayle Burton for the hard work and incredible hospitality!! Also to Bob, Julie, Renee, the Davis Diesel crew, Dishman Dodge, etc. It was a real blast and I am so glad I went!

Gotta run, more later... Oo.

Rhonda,

I believe the runner up was a Graphite 3rd gen like mine with a lift. I know cuz he and I raced when there were only 3 of us left and he beat me. The guy with the white dmax from Alberta had a bye that round. Several people raced in the winners bracket after losing one race and then winning the next so it got quite confusing.

The event was definately a blast despite all the carnage. Thanks Big Bob, Jason and Gail, Dishman Dodge, and Davis Diesel plus all that I might have forgotten for a great event.

Nathan, I don't know, but I thought Jason gave the trophies to those guys after some real confusion by the track staff... What an unusual way to run a race. You went some rounds, though, didn't you? :)

I had such a great time, resulting in serious lack of sleep! I'm super happy with my dyno numbers (635hp & 1122tq), and hope to take her even higher with Fletcher's help.

Will and I just tried running Sportsman speeds, but couldn't be consistent enough to go rounds. There were some serious fast times by several trucks as usual for that track. Fletcher's got to be bummed he couldn't make it; his truck would have been so far into the 9's we'd have never shut him up!! :-laf

Oh yeah, Jason's new ride is just WOW! Too bad he didn't take the time to dyno, as he's got to be putting down some serious horsepower. We'll see at Piers' dyno day, though, and hopefully he'll come to our NHRDA finals as well.

An excellent event with outstanding trucks and really wonderful people! Oo.

Yeah I did go a few rounds sandbagging like crazy. I left my dial the same all night and it bit me at the end when I broke out. I got put out in the 5th round. Nathan Black and I had a great race with a margin of victory of only . 025 sec.
