Whether some one is a paying advertiser or not I see no reason for them to not be in the links. I see many links that I would really doute are paying subscribers such as pilot, flying J and many others. So It looks that it is not based on being a advertiser as much as not competing with another paying advertiser. The links are to help out paying subscribers. This is up to TRD to make their polices and I realize I have no say in it but... . I have a problem with the fact that Some known good vendors will be hidden from me when I need to make a decision. This should not be based on the politics of TDR but rather on what is best for it paying subscribers. Paying advertisers still get a major advantage with banners and such and that is what they are paying for anyway.

Robin and Robert are in Las Vegas for the SEMA show right now so they won't see this message or have a chance to respond to it until next week. I don't handle the actual links themselves and don't know what their policy is on them. I will let them know about this thread next week.

Links

For the most part, we set up links to TDR advertisers' websites, TDR members' website, TDR Chapters, and general information sources. And we do not normally delete old links to former advertisers if/when they discontinue their advertisements with us.

From time to time, however, it makes sense for us to delete old links. We went through this process about two months ago and did delete a number of old links (some that were no longer operational and some that were previous advertisers and organizations that we have not maintained a business relationship with through 2003).

I trust this will satisfy the question. You will see links come and go over time. We do not enforce a strictly black-and-white policy when it comes to links.

If you are specifically looking for Diesel Transmission Technologies (DTT), I believe they can be found at: http://www.dieseltrans.com/
