Went to the US Diesel Truckin Nationals at Englishtown, NJ yesterday - saw two trucks there I thought I should mention here.

First was a '81-'87 1/2 ton, SB, 2WD Chevy pickup that was doing rather well in the Bracket racing. When I spotted it in the pits later, the open hood revealed a SWEET 3. 9L 4BTA Cummins /Auto trans combo! He won every round I saw him race, and he ran in the 15s if I remember correctly. VERY cool.

The other was a somewhat recent green Dodge Dakota. It was very high and mighty on swamper rubber, with the hood in the 5' range from the ground. What caught my eye was the gleaming Intercooler with pusher fans smiling at me from behind the grille - and then the late model Ram Cummins emblems on the fenders (ala '03-'05 Rams). I was only able to inspect it from the outside, as the hood was closed and the owner absent. It drove by me on its way out later on, and it was definately a B series. I dont remember if it had NY or NJ tags, but perhaps someone on here knows of it? It looked nice from what I could see.

Other than that, it was a Diesel lovers paradise, as always!

:D

They were Parnelli Jones Rubber. Im just joking, thanks so much for the compliments and im very sorry I missed you. You should have hailed me down I would have stopped to show a fellow TRD member my truck. Their were a few other TDR Members there like Highfinance97, Junior and signal73. I will be at the Fall Brawl and prob the seefood challenge maybe we will see each other there. If not you can check out the pictures of the truck here.

That is a sweet truck. I was in Va. a few weeks ago and staying with my little brother that also lives in Forest. I wish, I would have run into you. I would have liked to have met you and find out how you got all that in a Dakota.

I grew up in that area and that would be sweet to take up to Crabtree meadows at Crabtreefalls, or just ride around the mountain in Piney River. Nothing to hurt the truck but it sure gives the rednecks something to talk about, and the scenerie is great.

SOMEHOW - I knew it :0)

6BT-Dakota;

Yep - I knew it - you had to be on here somewhere. :)

I hovered around your rig for a bit in the pits, but to no avail. I would have flagged you down on the way out, but by the time I spotted you, you were already past me and rolling at a good clip. Oh well. There is always next year. Truck looks real nice from the outside, and sounded sweet. Knowing that monster fit under the hood of a Dakota makes me feel better about my GMC conversion :D

Hope to run into you again sometime.
