Colone DC had to buy trucks...

Hey Briar, no hard feelings or anything. I agree with you about not worrying about it until it breaks, and about it breaking something going down a smooth road. You're right on! #ad

I don't understand thepitts (GLTDR) attack on me, though. I've been trying to stand up for the TDR, so the TDR doesn't get a black eye. Me and Steve have been working this thing out personally and he does seem to be a good guy. #ad
I just took his original post for what it said, I didn't understand. Thepitts was able to read that I support all my Diesel buddies here and that I just would've hated DC or Cummins or Chelsea PG to see Steve's original post and understand it like I did.

Now thepitts (of the GLTDR) wants to jump in and start a real fight I guess. #ad
I won't be fighting with anybody here, we're on the same side. #ad
At least I think we are, I don't what thepitts thinks. #ad

Wiz - one note on your post. I didn't have anything to do with putting on the show. That credit should go 100% to Scott Dalgleish, the TDR, Dodge Marketing, and the John Colone Dodge staff. The TDR was nice enough to put our club name on the event and we did offer to help out in any way we could but that was the end of our involvement. There was very little help needed - one of our member's Carl worked the gate for quite a while handing out the numbers for the trucks. I think that's the only help we gave - if someone else helped let me know so I can give credit where it's due.

JyRO and I have emailed each other and worked it out. I hope that my second post was taken as an apology for what was obviously bad judgement to post in the manner I did. Several people posted in my defense as they are familiar with me and appreciate the work I do for the club. In a couple of cases I contacted them and asked them to tone down their posts as I think JyRO had a valid point given the way he took my message. I think we can let this drop at this point and bury all of the hatchet's. I know that I've definately learned a lesson here and probably some other's have as well.

-Steve

I had the same impression JyRo did when I read Steve's post about abusing the truck.

The guy says you will be in 2nd and 3rd and Steves says he pins it in 6th... .....

I'll bet at the next event folks will be taken for rides like they did with the hummers at May Madness. Folks drove Dakotas around at MM and I don't believe they left parts all over the trails.

Whatever,
Ron

I could be wrong, but I don't think those trails are designed to break the vehicles driven over them, as are the trails at the proving grounds.

Just picking a nit.

Alright alright alright, enough of the bickering! Steve has apologized to all, and he and JyRO have come to an understanding via private e-mails. So enough is enough. Let's get back to the original purpose of these forums. If you have any further concerns, please take the conversation to private email rather than bashing each other in front of the whole TDR community.
I was going to delete this entire posting, but I don't want to exercise censorship. My job as lead moderator, as Rob described it to me, is to "keep things focused and keep the peace. " Therefore this topic is now closed.
By the way, Steve has been dealt a 25 horsepower penalty for stirring up this mess. I'll let HVAC have the honors of dealing out the punishment.
Have a good, safe 4th of July.
Andy
