Diff Fluids Lighter then Motor Oil

What gives? Anyone else notice this? I've swapped diff fluids in several trucks and I've never noticed diff fluid this light weight. I swear I had to smell it to convince myself it wasn't water.



It's going into the shop tomorrow morning for a minor issue with the heater controls not working (permanently at 90% defrost and 10% heat no matter the setting) and I'll be politely demanding these fluids get swapped out.

At least the axles you saw had oil in them.



Anyway, enough bad humor. The consistency may seem on the thin side due to the fact that the axles are factory filled with synthetic gear lube.
