Stepping out of 12V for a moment.

I have a TDR friend not online though, questioning what they changed to turn the 24V to HO. Is there something that we can get from DC (no comments please it cost but Warranty is still living) that would change this 2000 24V to the performance of the HO. Are there any truck mods to go with it. Stronger clutch, input shaft? Is it just the computer?

Truck info

2000 6 speed 4x4 2500 3. 54 I think club cab slt and long bed. No mods.

Probably will be selling it hence we want factory mod.

Thanks

DIfferences between HO and STD

To my knowledge here are the differences,

1. Larger 13" clutch disk

2. Different ECM (electronic control module) for the engine.

3. Different VP-44 fuel injector pump

I hope this helps:D :D :D :D

I believe the ETH's had higher compression, different piston design, different turbo too.

As for warranty "friendly" upgrades... good luck.

There's this, but it is pricey for what it does and there's still no guaranty it won't hose you on a warranty claim down the road.

I personally like the Edge EZ/DD TTM because of how the install.

Others may suggest that injectors can be hard to detect.

Your rig, your warranty, your choice.

Hope this helps.

Don't know about the std transmission but the TM really brings a DTT 91% tc'd auto to life. Power comes on like gang busters at about 1500 rpm instead of 2k rpm.

Can be had for about $850 from dealer-$12xx from Cummins
