Hey guys, I need to have my Dana 80 either repaired or replaced.

I found a 2001 Dana 80 out of a dually for a good price. . Probably less than it would cost to fix my existing axle.

I have a 94 Dually Dana 80 in my truck now.

The axle I'm looking at is a 2001 Dually Dana 80.

Does anyone know what the difference between these 2 axles might be? (besides the year)

Thanks

Also the newer one will proably be an American Axle and the older a Dana. Can't remember the year that dodge switched over.

American axles came in on the 03's. You should be looking at roughly the same housing and everything. The only concern would be the disc brake deal.

The only concern is a disc brake!!!!! I'd swap you my Dana 80 out of my 96 for a disc brake 01 or 02 in a heart beat!

Cheers,
