2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Difference in 2nd & 3rd gen trailer wiring?

Hey guys need to know if there is a difference in the trailer wiring between 2nd and 3rd. gens? If there is were can i find info out, is there a diagram between the 2. If i am looking at the seven pin connector what are the changes.

A buddy of mine loaned me his trailer and has a 3rd gen, i have 2nd. Is it just plug and go?

Yes plug and go

All 7 way connectors are SUPPOSED to be wired the same. The pin out is actually on the plug cover that is in the bumper if you need to see what is what. Ken Irwin

Key word here is "SUPPOSED"



From the factory, the 7 pins should be the same. But there's always the chance that someone rewired his truck to match up with a trailer at some point.
