While I have a minute while the better half fixes lunch, What's the difference in Air Dryers?

Meritor/Wabco Air Dryer is what the MH has on it now. Its the twin system.

the other brand that some of the others traveling with us is

http://www.bendix.com/en/products/airtreatment/airtreatment_1.jsp

I had changed the filter cartridges on the Wabco when I serviced the MH so I knew when it all had been done. I drain air tanks when I filled with fuel. There was more water in the tanks that I would have thought there should be.

Both systems look pretty similar, I have only limited experience with the Bendix system used on our work trucks and it was limited to only looking to make sure that no unusual curd was coming from it on pre & post trip insp, we didn't service our trucks.

I assume that the Air Dryers on your coach are not mounted to an air tank, most newer ones are. I'm pretty sure that you said it was a 2007??

Anyways, for old school remote mount dryers you cannot beat the Bendix AD-9. None better. Simple, effective and reliable.

I am not fond of the Meritor / Wabco critter and we sell a lot of brand new Bendix AD-9 dryers to replace existing Meritor / Wabco units.

I just looked at the twin system in your link and that does look like an air tank mounted unit. That would be a different story.......

The wabco twin is a disaster. They fail and dump air out the bottom. We're restofitting the same but single with a purge tank that seems much better.
The AD9 is a good unit but a PITA to service. IMHO the best unit for extreme vocational service was the CR Turbo 2000 now made by SKF.

Mike, I've yet to see a integral dryer/ wet tank. Did you mean on a coach?

The air dryer isn't mounted to the air tanks its a frame mounted unit that actually looks like someone may have given thought to ease of maint. in its placement.

Then I highly recommend the AD-9 if you do eventually replace your current unit. As Wayns says it is not a simple spin off cartridge change BUT the AD-9 gives almost zero trouble. Replace the desiccate cartridge and purge valve every couple years and motor on.

It currently costs $77.90 for the Reman Genuine Bendix cartridge and purge valve here after core exchange less any taxes. That's a pretty cheap overhaul.

Beware, there are many AD-9 knock offs and REBUILT AD-9 dryers out there. I sell a brand new AD-9 Bendix unit for $249.00.

Not trying to sell anything, only offering the prices that BIG should pay a reputable seller.

Thanks Mike I was wondering about the cost? that's not anyplace NEAR what I thought something like that would cost. Talking to another person at the RV park who has a one year newer MH made the change, his left him stranded at the mercy of the a Truck stop when he fueled released the brakes and that's where it chose to go bad. ANYTHING at a truck stop is 10x the cost of someplace else.
