2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission differences between 01' & 01.5'

I have a 97' club cab, but with the kids getting bigger I need that rear opening door. I found a 01. 5 for a decent price. I know the difference between the 98' & 98. 5' is the 12v & 24v just wondering what the difference between the 01-01. 5 was? Thanks in advance Billy

Amongst Hood liner delete , Grab handle , cup holders , oh yeah and a splash of the same ol' paint problems but this time in patriot blue.

Approximate build dates:

2000 models built Aug-Dec 1999.

2001 models built Jan-July 2000

2001. 5 built about Aug 2000 - July 2001.

2002 - normal model build year

our 01. 5 at our school has the rear inner fender liners, does not have the rear tailgate black panel.

4 wheel ABS as well with the addition of the rear discs in '01. 5.

I suspect each one you look at could be a little different. I have an 01. 5 with the disc brakes (4ASB). Mine also came with rear cup holders, painted intercooler, under hood liner, and rear wheel well liners, CAD and pretty much everything else the 00's had.

I think you are right, I have seen so many variations between same year trucks it is baffling. I think you would have to break it down to individual months to accurately differentiate the trucks options. -Tom

I would bet you're right. Configurations probably changed as on-hand stock of various components was depleted.
