In the past, I've had brakes that would pull the truck to one side or the other. Usually a sticking caliper. The other day I put on new pads up front (Hawk pads from Geno's) and they stop well, but they pull... one side, the other side, sometimes not at all. What causes this mixed pulling? Also, VERY squeally. I'm going to put some antisqueal on and see what happens, but still need to find out about the odd pull. Thanks
EDIT: OK, the pull is now just to the left, bled that side, but still there. Will do it again. BUT>>>even with the squeal stop stuff, these pads make it sound like I'm trying to stop a school bus! I mean, it's embarrassing!
Have any others used Hawks and had this really bad squeal?
