,but how about some of the other brands, like hays, centerforce etc? I will be upgrading some and would like some input. I dont plan on running anymore than 350hp,but with some pulling planned for my 98
These are the well known pulling clutch suppliers and any of them will hold up to pulling. A single disk will get burnt up trying to pull a sled with it.
I have the 12. 25" centerforce and it does pretty well. It is quite grabby and it doesn't like to be slipped so backing a trailer can be a little tough. I got it because it looked like it had a stronger hub than the 12. 25" SBC's. I only have 10k on it so I can't tell you how long it lasts but so far it has been good but a little grabby.
Hays just makes a stock replacement as far as I know. My stock clutch is holding fine with my mods ~325 HP. Whats wrong with the SBC Con-O? It can hold 400 HP and is still organic so stock like pedal feel and engagement, plus it's a well known name brand proven clutch for $500. IMO it's a good deal if thats all the power you plan, plus with organic it's gonna last a lot longer.
