mdepot said:For lubing door gaskets, I'd use silicone spray rather than any type of grease or oil. It comes in an aerosol can like spray paint. It also helps keep ice from sticking the doors shut in the winter (for us up here in the north anyway - take it from a New Englanda)

i don't know about the waxing part, but it really shouldn't effect the paint, but a cardboard shield to prevent overspray might be useful there...Question will the silicone overspray affect the paint or effect waxing the area ??
