I just received the Rancho 9000 shocks that I ordered from 4wheelparts.com. (Too bad I didn't see the ones on eBay. ) The rear shocks were fine and are installed.
The front shocks I was shipped are different???? They are both stamped as 9197, but one has std threads, is a 1/4" shorter, and has a nut welded to the shaft, the other has metric threads. There is a number other than 9197 stamped on the shock body. The numbers are the same except one ends in 1R and the other ends in 2R.
Has anyone else had this? Think they are from two different production years? Should I care since they both are stamped 9197?
My gut feeling is I want them to be the same... .
